CEdge has an opportunity for a Help Desk Technician to support GDSS. This role is located at Scott Airforce Base, Illinois. Provides C2 Systems assistance for classified and unclassified GDSS users
Assists with C2 operational issues related to user inputs to and outputs from GDSS
Provides system/application and database access account management services for GDSS and the MEIS
Conducts Operational validation for GDSS
Provide centralized GDSS C2 Systems Services 24 hours a day/7 days a week. (This is a shift work position)
Assist users with understanding the system and procedures necessary to accomplish the users’ tasks
Provide functional helpdesk (FHD) support for the continuous operation of the fixed and deployed systems for approved users in or supporting the active, Guard, and Reserve units
Create and track Remedy trouble tickets with appropriate points of contact to resolve problems or issues
Receive, log, troubleshoot, and resolve problems; provide functional operator help desk support
Subject matter expertise in GDSS
Applications include: Mission Planning and Air Refueling, Aircraft Management and Logistics, AvORM, Mission Management and Execution, Sequence of Events, Flight Management, Flight Planning, Crew Management, Location Management, Air Tasking Order Integration, Weather, and Diplomatic Clearance Management
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years GDSS operator experience
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience, or
Associate's Degree and 4 years of related experience, or
High School degree and 6 years of general experience, of which at least 3 years must be specialized experience.
This position requires a Secret Clearance
