The ideal candidate will lead software engineering projects and creates the development and delivery of enhanced software solutions. Researches alternative technical solutions for changing business needs. Responsible for assuring the daily activities of the team meet the requirements of SLA’s.

  • Help create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market by collaborating with business and technical partners.
  • Develop overall strategic technical plan and create architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps and lead planning, design, and implementations of technical solutions.
  • Research on current and upcoming technologies and application appropriate frameworks and provide recommendations to Management. Perform PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help Department in the selection of Technology.
  • Partner with Project Managers in implementation of processes per the evolving needs of the team and the solutions.
  • Ensure compliance to the defined standards. Actively look for opportunities to modify and enhance standards per the needs of the department. Develop documentation templates, lead and enforce development of documentation through out the development lifecycle of the solution.
  • Ensure compliance of Audit Requirements by proactively educating team on Compliance Requirements and Integrating Compliance Requirements in SDLC. Represent team during Compliance Audits.
  • Must have 5-6 years of experience with Java/J2EE frameworks especially : Spring Boot, Microservices, Restful Webservices.
  • Strong Java experience including design, implementation, debugging
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field preferred, top-tier schools preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms (i.e., understanding the tradeoffs of performance, complexity, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of multithreading.
  • Experience profiling memory and performance in a distributed environment
  • Ability to be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
  • Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, frameworks and tools such as:
    • CSS
    • AngularJS
    • Tomcat
    • CI/CD build pipelines
    • developing in cloud computing platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
