The Sr. Business Analyst provides a business analysis level management within the Loan Origination Services (LOS) team in the development of new LOS applications and interfaces to other AgFirst applications and databases. Also provides best practices support to the LOS team when making enhancements or maintenance changes to applications supported by the LOS team. This would include supporting loan origination processes as well as the various interfaces used by department supported applications. Directly involved in the development of department SDLC documentation to ensure the business needs, regulatory requirements and policy changes are met.
Responsible for managing a sub-set of the LOS team business analysts (BAs) (in-house or contract) for large-scale application development projects, as they are identified and scheduled.
Primary responsibilities include identifying, assigning, and tracking tasks performed by these BAs, as well as ensuring they are following department guidelines for developing and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, test plans, and documentation. As well as gathering and developing business requirements,
functional specifications, use cases, business rules, process flows and test plans to ensure that routine maintenance and fixes, as well as enhancements generated by business requirements (legislation, policy changes, etc.) are accomplished efficiently and effectively.
Responsible for project support for applications supported by Loan Origination Services (LOS), which currently includes:
Works with department manager in the planning of BA activities, quality of the solution, consistency of BA work products and BA performance metrics.
Develops the standards that the department upholds for business analysis work and ensures that the standards are upheld in the department.
Researches and provides best practices guidance to LOS BAs working on projects to improve AgFirst and ACA business processes, workflows and productivity through new development, standardization, simplification, redesign or other procedural changes.
Assists, as needed, in providing training to the Customer Support Center when new LOS applications go into production
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Education and/or experience equivalent to a BS Degree in business, accounting, financial or related technical discipline.
10+ years of experience in areas of Business Analyst and SDLC documentation preparation.
Strong customer service orientation; desire to embrace technology as a means of improving service.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, users, technical experts, and all levels of management.
Proven organizational skills and demonstrated abilities to establish priorities, self-directed and take initiative, work under time pressures and exercises sound business judgment.
Familiarity with PC hardware and software (Microsoft Windows environments).
Strong communications skills, analytical skills, and the ability to combine and prioritize tasks to test effectively and efficiently.
