Working knowledge in job discipline gained through experience. Broadening capabilities, varied assignments, and problem solving based on broad policies and guidelines with moderate level of guidance/direction. Works with other teams to interview stakeholders and elicit basic to moderate business requirements.
Assists facilitation of meetings to build deep understanding of functional business and digital areas (e.g., customer, field operations) to understand business requirements.
Assists in translating business and design requirements into technical requirements.
Analyzes process/system changes, with supervision, to ensure design changes meet business requirements.
Develops experience with drawing process maps and using business process modelling techniques.
Manages overall catalogue of process flows for small to medium complexity projects.
Analyzes fairly complex data for projects with little to no supervision. Performs QA against specifications.
Identifies issues with the quality and performance of products, services, solutions or processes and proposes improvements.
Supports small to medium complexity projects with some degree of supervision, including tracking issues and managing action items. Appropriately documents knowledge and share lessons learned for medium complexity projects.
Assists with BA activities needed on agile scrum teams; displays understanding of agile methodology. Analyzes, identifies, and directs solutions to eliminate problems, improve user effectiveness, and improve system accuracy.
Comes up with ideas and insights to share with senior business analysts that will optimize business results.
Understands the Digital organization�s objectives, and the impact on own project; contributes to development of new technology integration and enablement plans.
Works in an agile environment and engages in development practices such as XP, test driven development.
Working analytical skills. Understanding of how to interpret customer�s business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Working knowledge of business process modeling and redesign concepts. Ability to facilitate meetings and develop professional presentations.
Working knowledge of project management principles, such as scope, deliverables, timeline and cost/benefits. Adept communication skills by drafting reports with little instruction from senior co-workers. Displays ability to communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications.
Developing understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in a specific functional area (e.g., asset management, electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs, transmission operations and planning).
Developing understanding of one or more iterative development methodologies (e.g., RUP, Agile). Developing knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis), benchmarking and audit compliance
Strong familiarity with specialized business technologies and applications (e.g., workforce management, outage management, mobile dispatch).
Good understanding of customers business model, and different parts of the business (e.g., distribution, transmission operations). Strong proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). 3-5 years of experience
