TEA - System Administrator – Senior

Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance .

Overview: TEA combined environments currently consist of ~21 physical servers (VMware), ~60 virtual servers (~90% Windows, ~10% Linux), ~100 zero-clients, ~15 network switches, ~224 workstations and ~63 laptops supporting ~175 users. Additionally, TEA end users generate ~600 internally serviced requests for support per month.
technical support for hardware and software, such as modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A), geographic information system (GIS), imagery exploitation, and engineering systems support for the TEA’s isolated Research and Development (R&D) networks, TEA NIPRNet/SIPRNet servers and special purpose hardware and applications.
implement application updates, to include STIGs and IAVAs, on multiple servers and applications supporting TEA’s isolated R&D networks, TEA NIPRNet/SIPRNet servers, and standard and special purpose hardware and software applications.
create, implement, and maintain automation scripts, using approved scripting languages, for routine system administration tasks, to include specialized software and security patch installation.
provide technical artifacts to support Certification and Accreditation documentation.

§ Manage DNS
§ Create, manage and maintain file shares
§ Apply and manage group policy
§ Backup and recovery
§ Apply security updates
§ Manage Host Based Security System (HBSS)
§ Apply anti-malware updates
§ Implement and manage security groups
§ Manage certificate services
§ Manage and apply permission sets
§ Manage Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
§ Create images for deployment with WDS
§ Provide programming scripts to support system administration with Visual Basic Script, Python, and/or PowerShell
§ Build ODBC connections and provide SQL scripts, as required
§ Perform Database patching
§ Perform Database backups
§ Perform Database tuning
§ Perform vulnerability management

VMware Administration Activities include:
- NIPRNet, SIPRNet, TEA’s CLASS and UNCLASS R&D Isolated Environments Support
 o Administration and operation of VMware vCloud virtual environment
  Manage and maintain vCenter
• Create, manage, and maintain templates, virtual servers and workstations
• Create, manage, and maintain Datastores
• Image, manage, and maintain ESXi hosts
• Create, manage, and maintain clusters and resource pools
• Manage licenses
• Create and manage host profiles
• Manage and maintain VMware Update Manager

 Administration and operation of Horizon View
 • Create, manage, and maintain Connection Servers
• Create, manage, and maintain View Composer
• Create, manage, and maintain Desktop Pools

 Administration and operation of App Volumes
 • Create and maintain AppStacks
 • Manage Assignments

 Create and manage ThinApps
 Perform data archive, backup and recovery
 • Snapshots
• Backups

 Administration and operation of PCoIP Management Console
 • Deploy and manage PCoIP Zero-clients

 Perform vulnerability management

Storage Administration Activities Include:
- NIPRNet, SIPRNet, TEA’s CLASS and UNCLASS R&D Isolated Environments Support
o Administration and operation of storage systems
Provision and configure Storage Virtual Machines
§ Provision and configure logical interfaces
§ Provision, configure, and maintain volumes
§ Provision, configure, and maintain CIFS shares
§ Provision, configure, and maintain iSCSI LUNs
§ Provision, configure, and maintain NFS Storage
§ Create and maintain Namespaces
§ Create backup storage vaults
§ Perform backup and recovery operations
§ Perform vulnerability management

Network Administration Activities include:
- NIPRNet, SIPRNet, TEA’s CLASS and UNCLASS R&D Isolated Environments Support o Administration and operation of network switches § Perform required security configuration updates
§ Configure and maintain Interfaces
§ Configure and maintain Trunks
§ Configure and manage VLANs
§ Troubleshoot connectivity issues
§ Install network cabling
Required certification : IAT II, CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP
