Mid-level Requirements Systems Engineers employ a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across CAP/SAP architectures, the NSG/ASG (as applicable) and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT. These positions will be supporting the GEODEV IPT leads.
Duties Include:
· Conducts requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across CAP/SAP architectures, the NSG/ASG (as applicable) and Federal Agencies.
· Conducts planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
· Develops solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
· Assists the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
· Supports the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
· Assists the Government in performing systems integration activities.
· Assists with AoA, CoA, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
· Assists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
· Works closely with both the OSP development contractor and security teams in a systems integration SME and support role to achieve the OSP mission as a cohesive team.
· Individual will assist with integration of new emerging capabilities into a compartmented enterprise.
· The contractor will support the government as an active participant in architecture and enterprise integration tasks.
· Follows Government direction, delivers products in a timely manner, proactively identifies issues and recommends solutions.
· Utilizes strong communication skills and is able to work independently but keeps government lead informed of progress and issues when they arise.
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or related technical experience field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
· Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
· 6+ years of experience with government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of a large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environment.
· 4+ years of experience with the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
· Experience with sensor development, processing algorithms, image science, data optimization, remote sensing or exploitation techniques.
· Experience with Architecture, Requirements or DoDAF.
· Understanding of compartmented security and interfaces with multiple levels of security, compartmented and non-compartmented.
Desired:
· Experience writing enterprise and segment level requirements, working with end users to derive requirements, and tracing requirements to program level objectives.
