GIS Designer / Analyst

Position Overview:

Cedge  is seeking a highly skilled GIS Designer / Analyst to support the Installation Geographic Information System (IGIS) for a Department of Public Works (DPW) mission. This position is contingent upon contract award and will focus on maintaining spatial data integrity, performing field data verification, and supporting multi-user geodatabase environments using ESRI ArcGIS and related technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the DPW’s Installation Geographic Information System (IGIS)
  • Perform advanced GIS analysis, spatial data visualization, and thematic mapping
  • Conduct field data verification and GPS data collection as needed
  • Support and maintain multi-user geodatabases, ensuring schema and data integrity
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, metadata, and procedural guides
  • Collaborate with engineering, planning, and environmental teams to integrate GIS solutions
  • Follow DoD and federal standards for geospatial data management and information assurance

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience using ESRI ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and related tools)
  • Strong skills in spatial data management, analysis, and GIS documentation
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level geodatabase environments (e.g., SDE, SQL-based GIS)
  • Excellent attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

 

Security and Training Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Required to complete Operations Security (OPSEC), Information Assurance (IA), and Threat Awareness and Reporting Program (TARP) training
  • Successful completion of installation access screening is required for site access
