QA Testing Lead

Responsibilities:
To organize and drive the test prep and execution efforts for SIT and UAT, maintaining structure and consistency (to include the EDI team, all boundary apps, external trading partner testing.)
To ensure proper test scenarios are captured / to ensure quality SIT and UAT testing (to include the EDI team, all boundary apps, external trading partner testing.)
To facilitate collaboration among the teams to create test cases and plan for testing. (to include the EDI team, all boundary apps, external trading partner testing.)
To set up test cycle for SIT and UAT and ensure the team has all data/pre req's needed. (to include the EDI team, all boundary apps, external trading partner testing.)
During execution, to facilitate and report on test progress/defect resolution/outcomes. (to include the EDI team, all boundary apps, external trading partner testing.)

Description:
The Test Lead is a key role within the Enterprise Testing Team. This coworker or consultant is a mentor, leader and subject matter expert within the testing and quality engineering space. The Test lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services across projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Review the project requirements as part of the requirement approval process.
Partner with the Project Team create comprehensive a Testing Strategy.
Make project team and end users aware of ETS Standards and the project Testing Strategy approach.
Ensure the creation and review of test cases / test scripts based on approved requirements prior to execution.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), ensuring clear alignment between project functional / non-functional requirements and test cases.
Partner closely with the development teams to gain understanding of system integration and dependencies.
Take the lead role in executing development defect management process prior to production release.
Create a plan for monitoring and testing of any escaped, production defects post deployment.
Ensure the alignment of project testing with ETS standards.
Lead and mentor the manual testers associated with the project.
Coach assigned End User Testers and help facilitate successful End User Acceptance Testing.
Partner with the Project Team to generate and gain approval of Test Closure Memo.
Ensure a strategy for test data management process (identify / generate / refresh test data).
Assist in identifying when Test Automation and Performance Testing should be leveraged for assigned project.
Provide project testing status, on an agreed upon timeframe, to stakeholders escalating risks and issues.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 4 years of Test Lead experience.
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong hands-on experience in manual testing.
Proven experience leading QA efforts, managing a small team of testers and organizing Automated and Performance testing.
Proficiency in interpreting testing results and reporting on them.
Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Zephyr Enterprise, Zephyr Scale with JIRA, Tricentis, etc.).
Experience with planning integration testing.
Proficiency in release planning related to fulfilling testing expectations and in reporting on escaped, production defects.
Strong hands-on experience with defect management facilitation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience in Agile/Scrum and Traditional/Waterfall development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
Quality Assurance Certifications (e.g., Certified Software Quality Assurance – CSQA, Certified Quality Engineer – CQE, Certified Associate in Software Testing – CAST, etc.)
Master’s degree.
