We’re seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive complex systems engineering efforts across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this high-impact role, you’ll shape the architecture and integration of mission-critical GEOINT systems that directly support U.S. and allied operations.
What You’ll Do
As a technical leader, you will:
· Mentor and guide mid- and junior-level systems engineers across the full engineering lifecycle, including:
o Requirements development
o Solution architecture and systems integration
o Scheduling and service development
o Testing, evaluation, and maintainability
o Reliability and resiliency engineering
· Lead planning and analysis of user requirements and system architectures
· Improve system performance through the review of cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints
· Oversee the development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies
· Translate mission and customer needs into actionable system and capability requirements
· Support the allocation of requirements to architecture components and program execution
· Guide systems integration across multiple platforms, programs, and agencies
· Conduct technical assessments including:
o Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
o Courses of Action (CoAs)
o Trade Studies
o Engineering Assessments
· Assist in strategic planning and oversight of:
o Project management
o Performance engineering
o Risk management
o Interface design
· Operate at the enterprise level—integrating multiple systems, services, and processes within Major Systems Acquisitions, spanning organizational and agency boundaries

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following fields:
o Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Other related STEM disciplines
o OR 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree
· Minimum of 12 years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
o DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes
o Requirements development processes
o PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System)
o Systems engineering of large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environments
Technical Skills
· Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
Security Clearance
· Active TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications
Education
· Master’s degree in:
o Systems Engineering
o OR a related technical or scientific field (as listed above)
Certifications & Licensure
· INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
· Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Technical Knowledge & Skills
· Working knowledge of:
o Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, languages, and processes
o Software Development Frameworks
· Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
o Photogrammetry
o Remote sensing
o Image science
o Information sciences
o Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
o Geomatics
o Other related geospatial fields
Domain Expertise
· Documented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) field
· In-depth knowledge of current:
o NSG – National System for Geospatial-Intelligence
o ASG – Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence
o NRO – National Reconnaissance Office enterprise
Professional Engagement
· Membership or leadership in professional organizations such as:
o ACSM – American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
o ASCE – American Society of Civil Engineers
o ASPRS – American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
o OGC – Open Geospatial Consortium
o SAREM – Society for American Remote Earth Monitoring
o USGIF – United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation
