Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 
1. Knowledge of Cerner Millennium, Powerchart, PowerOrders and PowerChart RadNet applications
2.   Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
3.   Project management and project management software skills
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
 
1.   Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Healthcare Information Systems is required.

2.   Minimum of 2 years’ build and maintenance experience with Cerner Millennium PowerChart, PowerOrders and PowerChart RadNet and is required.

3.   Exhibit the ability to communicate effectively in a customer service environment.
 
4.   Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with both internal and external hospital contacts.

5.   Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
 
6.   Experience in the use of Client Server Clinical systems is preferred.

7.   The use of personal computer hardware and software packages, MS Office is required.
 
8.   Ability to complete project tasks and assignments on time is required.

9.  Applications programming experience a plus.
 
 
EDUCATION
 
B.S. in Information Technology or Related Field
 
 
JOB DUTIES (List in order of importance)
 
1.   Utilizing Cerner Millennium PowerChart RadNet the analyst will design, build and document application changes.
2.   Consult with end users on Cerner Millennium PowerChart RadNet design and build changes.
3.   Tests software to detailed specifications.
4.   Trains less experienced personnel.
5.   Reports project activity and status to management.
6.   Learns new clinical applications and oversees the completion of tasks related to clinical system functions.
7.   Attend applicable vendor clinical application classes.
8.   Coordinate the resolution of User calls and determine appropriate action by investigating and analyzing reported hardware and software problems.
9.   Identify, analyze, track and report on project issues.
10. Evaluate and assist senior management in the implementation of system upgrades.
11. Analyzing functional requirements documentation, conducting interviews with key personnel and collecting information about the use of the current system.
12. Assist in the preparation of documentation and development of interface and conversion specifications.
13. Act as liaison between departments and external areas as required. Schedule periodic meetings with IS, Vendors and
Users to ensure effective communications.
14. Identify and encourage user department procedural changes.
15. Conduct workflow sessions with end users.
16. Demonstrate system to users.
17. Perform system adaptations and modifications according to the prepared specifications.
18. Function as a project implementation manager for clinical system related projects.
19. Assist in developing departmental education and training materials.
20. Monitor/review procedural materials.
21. Refine sample test plans for conversion, interfaces and applications.
22. Assist in the development of a Live Event Plan.
23. Provide post-live application support.
24. Work with Project Management to obtain sign-offs.
25. Complete assigned work plan tasks.
26. Maintain tables, files, profiles, codes sets, etc.
27. Provide after-hours support of clinical applications per schedule.
28. Learn and assist with other applications as directed.
