CEdge has an opportunity for an Expert GEOINT Imagery Standards Developer to support the National Geo-spatial Intelligence Agency. OVERVIEW: 
Work in collaboration with NSG & ASG community membership, international partners, and other members of the GEOINT & IT Standards Division to ensure current and updated standards content for still & motion imagery standards meet capability delivery dates for NGA & NSG initiatives and solution providers.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for providing specialized advice and assistance on complex technical projects. Is widely known in his/her field of expertise. Independently performs a variety of system analysis, design and/or engineering tasks that are broad and innovative in nature. Participates in national level steering and advisory groups, panels and committees. Advise/mentor technical personnel at all levels and reviews work for technical accuracy. Guides the strategic growth of scientific imagery programs.
  • Serve as a Subject Mater Expert (SME) on development of Still and/or Motion Imagery Standards with the objective of facilitating compliance and interoperability through integration of NSG & ASG requirements while reducing technical and schedule risk in the following functional areas:
  • Still Imagery standards including, but not exclusive to:
  • NITF
  • NITF Extensions (MIE4NITF, SIDD, SICD, etc.)
  • NATO Imagery STANAGs (NSIF, for instance)
  • Motion Imagery standards & phenomenology including, but not exclusive to:
  • Electro Optical (EO)
  • Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI)/Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI)
  • Infrared Motion Imagery Standards (IR)
  • Multispectral Imaging (MSI)
  • Hyper spectral imaging (HSI)
  • Ensure current and future GEOINT standards will satisfy capability requirements at the program and strategic level across NGA, the NSG, and ASG.
  • Develop capability-based standards profiles & reference architectures to enable search, discovery, access, and retrieval, integrated intelligence, and advanced analytics are enabled. 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Extensive experience with:
  • Still Imagery collection, encoding, and operations
  • Still Imagery standards & Tagged Record Extensions (TRE)
  • Motion Imagery collection, encoding, and operations
  • Motion imagery phenomenology, such as:
  • Electro Optical (EO)
  • Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI)/Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI)Infrared Motion Imagery Standards (IR)
  • Multi-spectral Imaging (MSI)
  • Hyper spectral imaging (HSI)
  • Imagery compression formats and metadata schema 
PREFERRED:
  • Master’s degree in technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Extensive experience with:
  • Still Imagery Standards and Extensions:
  • NITF
  • Tagged Record Extensions (TRE)
  • Standards Extensions, such as:
  • Motion imagery standards & phenomenology, such as:
  • Motion Imagery Standards Profile (MISP)
  • Electro Optical (EO)
  • Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI)/Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) Infrared Motion Imagery Standards (IR)
  • Multi-spectral Imaging (MSI)
  • Hyper spectral imaging (HSI)
  • Latest technological advancements in still/motion imagery & phenomenology, and their respective impacts to standards activities
