RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall Assignment Description:
Expert Systems Architect provides strategic oversight and planning of the GEOINT Enterprise Architecture (GEA) to the SAM Office. They develop technical, strategic guidance for senior/mid-level architects in the creation and implementation approaches to the Enterprise architecture artifacts IAW DoDAF and IC PAG.
Duties include:
- Lead all changes to the GEA as they pertain to SAM Tools, as well as all Enterprise tools that interface with SAM Tools, on behalf of the SAM Office.
Support deployment of upgrades and new features of SAM Tools. Create application documentation, architecture diagrams, how-to guides, SOPs, and other deliverable for both training and tool maintenance. Provide training to government via briefing and informal training session.
Guide and assist Government in directing architects in the development, maintenance, and documentation of the GEA, ensuring alignment to NGA Strategy and CONOPs.
Interface with leadership-level GEA government representatives on behalf of the SAM Office.
Provide technical expertise and leadership enabling NGA to make informed, data-driven decisions and trade-offs between competing demands.
Oversee and coordinate the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Systems Architect contractors.
Assist SAM Deputy Division Chief with the engineering of SAM Tools consistent with current and future NGA IT Architecture
Skills and Experience:
Required: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree.
Demonstrated expert level experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
Demonstrated expert level experience in government and/or industry software procurement and management relevant work areas.
This position requires a
Master’s degree
TS SCI Security clearance
Desired:
Demonstrated expert level experience with MBSE, processes, tools and languages.
Possess Federated Enterprise Architect Certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect
Possess a National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace, Enterprise Architecture Certification
Demonstrated experience architecture solutions using structured/unstructured Big Data, AAA technologies, and Cloud Based technologies such as: Service Orientated Architecture
(SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
